Share the love: chocolate pecan pie

I'm famous for my chocolate pecan pie. So much so that I swear I've been invited to dinner parties just so I could be asked to bring one. Since it will probably be a while since I get invited to a dinner party, I thought I'd take this opportunity to share the recipe and share the love.

Ingredients:

Graham Cracker pie crust (I cheat and buy pre-made)

Whole pecans

1 oz. Unsweetened Baking Chocolate

1 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 stick butter

splash of Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pecans in pie shell (extra points if you make an attractive pattern). In a double boiler melt butter and chocolate. In a large bowl beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together. Add melted chocolate and butter. Mix well. Pour mixture over pecans (gently, so as not to disturb your attractive pattern!) Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
